MORRISTOWN, NJ -
April 20, 2005 -- Ranjni Poddar, President of
Artech Information Systems L.L.C., a leading provider of
project management and software consulting services
globally, was honored with a new entrepreneurial award
"Playing by their Own Rules: 25 Women Entrepreneurs Who
are Changing the Game" presented by the Women
Presidents' Organization in partnership with Fast
Company at their annual conference in Toronto, Canada.
Judges scored 600
applicants on four financial metrics: profitability,
profitability consistency, compound annual growth rate,
and size of revenues. Each judge selected their top 25
choices based on the uniqueness of the business, the
creativity of its business model, the strength of the
company's culture and its financial and growth profile.
"What is exceptional about
the award recipients on the panel is the diversity they
bring to the business world," says Marsha Firestone,
President and Founder, Women Presidents' Organization.
"They represent four different parts of the country,
four different kinds of businesses, and four different
cultures. It's proof positive that women's businesses
are growing in every community."
Ranjini Poddar was also
highlighted in the May issue of Fast Company Magazine's
article "25 Top Women Business Builders", viewable
