L.L.C., a leading provider of project management and
software consulting services globally has been chosen to
assist in improving the Federal Deposit Insurance
Corporation's (FDIC) software development processes
through a multiple award contract.
The FDIC announced this
past week the award of a multiple award contract for
information technology application services to produce
and maintain a secure, efficient portfolio of
application systems supporting FDIC business
requirements. The 10-year contract, which has an
estimated value potential of more than $550 million, is
for a diverse range of IT services.
The contract, which
consolidates up to 50 current contracts, is expected to
reduce FDIC costs, improve services and provide
additional accountability. It will use performance-based
competitive task orders to ensure cost-effective service
delivery and contractor accountability.
The award of this contract
completes the FDIC's goal to consolidate its information
technology contracts into longer-term strategic
contracts.
